Mission
Licensed Connecticut fishing guide service. Bog’s Guide & Fly specializes in guided fly fishing trips in Connecticut. My goal as a guide is to help beginners master the basics and teach them the tools to continue pursuing a passion for fly fishing with a focus on mono rig and European nymphing techniques. Catch and release only!
Rates
Information I cover in my guided trips include casting instruction, identifying productive water, conservation and basic entomology. For adults I recommend fishing the Farmington River in the catch and release section using a mono rig or European nymphing style. Trips are tailored to client’s ideal outing. As long as my clients are happy I can teach you what ever style fishing you would like to cover. We can focus on effectively fishing dries, nymphs, wets, streamers. Full day adult (8hr), half day adult (4hr), and children's lesson (4hr) available. Booking appointments require 50% non-refundable down payment. Remaining 50% due at START of session.

Flies, Tippet, Leaders included for all trips.

Adults - Must possess a valid CT fishing license with a trout/salmon stamp. Please bring your own waders, wading boots, sunglasses, hat, sun screen, bug spray, & appropriate outdoor clothing for weather conditions.

Children's Lesson
Ages 10-16

Parents/Guardians welcome to tag along! No fishing gear or fishing license required! I will come meet you at your local pond or lake in Connecticut. We will practice casting and target panfish. In my opinion this is the best way for any angler to master the basics of fly fishing. If fly fishing is a little too tricky for your child, I have back up options available like tenkara or spin fishing.
